» Putters and what's new

We always stock a seemingly endless variety of putters from the best known
manufacturers as well as some lesser known ones that have caught our attention. Whether it be Ping, Odyssey, Gauge Design, Never Compromise, Yes C-Groove, TaylorMade Monza Corza or Scotty Cameron one thing is for sure there is a new trend in putter head technology and the buzzword is
M.O.I. (moment of inertia).

» Some of the new toys on the market

Gauge Design:
Model shown-Type M1 Pro Series
Founder David Whitman has over 15 years experience in the golf industry. Gauge Design putters are a blend of today's technology and yesterday's designs. All putters are precise milled from a solid billet of mild carbon steel and made entirely in the United States. One of the best upscale putters made today.

Heavy Putter:
Model Shown- B1
The head on the heavy putter weighs 450 to 550 and there is about 250 in the upper
handle as well, hence the name "Heavy Putter". The heavier mass of the putter
disengages a golfer's small wrist muscles and engages larger shoulder muscles. This promotes a pendulum stroke and leads to a more consistent swing path.It also has a
high balance point which creates a tighter end over end roll of the golf ball. Models
include the B1, B2, B3, A1, A2 and A3.

MacGregor Bobby Grace V-Foil:
Model Shown- M6.4K-GT
V-Foil MOI (moment of inertia) putters result in less twisting at impact and unbeatable stability. This will reduce skipping and give you truer pure roll.

Odyssey:
Model Shown-White Hot Steel 2-ball Blade
They placed a milled steel inside the urethane insert to create Dual Insert Technology. The new White Steel gives you soft feel with the distance contral of urethane. The new anatomic grip design for a secure, soft feel that gives you control without overgripping.

Ping:
Model Shown-Craz-E G5i
Numerous advancements, including a dual durometer face and new alignment features,
set the G5i putter apart from the rest. The new insert design features a soft perimeter injected with a high durometer impact surface for better feel and sound. Most of the popular Ping models have been improved with this technology. We will also fit you for the proper lie angle and length.

Yes C-Groove:
Model Shown-Natalie
"Putting Doctor" Harold Swash uses patented C-Groove technology to lift the ball and impart an over-the-top rolling action. Head weights range from 330 grams to 370 grams. The ball comes off the face with a great feel. Used by many touring pros including Retief Goosen who won two US Opens using the Tracy Model.

TaylorMade:
Model Shown-Monza Corza
The stainless steel, wire-frame head construction allows weight to be moved from the middle of the head to the perimeter increasing MOI for greater forgiveness on mis-hits. The Corza has movable weight technology that ranges from 4 grams (two 2-gram cartridges) to 28
grams (two 14-gram). Also the face of the putter has an anti-skid groove system insert to reduce backspin and promote forward spin earlier in the shot.

Nike:
Model Shown- BC OZ T100 Mallet The aluminum face insert is 65% lighter than steel, allowing for weight to be redistributed to the heel and toe. This delivers balanced stroke and pure roll
a double bend shaft counterbalances your stroke to prevent opening or closing the clubface during the putting stroke, resulting in straighter, truer putts.

Never Compromise:
Model Shown- Gray Matter 2 Full Mallet
The Gray Matter 2 line feature extreme heel-toe weighting to give the putter a 'high moment of inertia' to keep the putter perfectly aligned through the stroke. It also features an aluminum infused composite weave insert that has half the weight of traditional aluminum which shifts more of the weight away from the face. The putter comes in a half mallet, mid mallet and the full mallet. The putter is tour players Vijay Singh's new best friend!

Guerin Rife:
Model Shown: Two Bar Mallet
The Guerin Rife has a forged/milled aluminum body with 303 stainless-steel face plugs and backweighted bars. It also features RollGroove technology, which is created by precisely milled grooves on the clubface that slightly press into the cover of the ball at impact. The Two Bar Mallet can be adjusted into nine different weight configurations through the use of the removable cylinders in the back of the clubhead. Also it has a LieAline system that allows the individual to adjust the putter's lie angle on his or her own with a bender device that comes standard with the putter.

Scotty Cameron:
Model Shown: Red X
Scotty Cameron putters are known worldwide for the best craftmanship. Whether it be the Red X, Studio Style, Studio Design, American Classic or the Futura Phantom Mallet, they have a make and model for everyone. Also Scotty has a great restoration department for your old faithfull. If you spend $300 on a driver why not spend the same for a putter. Most people use the putter twice as much a driver in a normal round. Get a putter from the man who knows the art of putting!

Hybrids

» Hybrids are HOT!!

Hybrids, or utility clubs, have become very popular with everyone from tour pros to high handicappers. The basic idea is that hybrid clubs replace the diifficult-to-hit long irons in your bag. Many people are getting rid of their 2,3,4 and sometimes even 5-irons. The benefits of hybrids are extensive. They are easier to hit and get airborne than thier corresponding long irons. They are useful from the tee on long par-3's, short par-4's, from the fairway, from the rough, even chipping around the greens. They fly with a higher trajectory than long irons, but will not get hung up in the wind like a lofted fairway wood sometimes can. If you haven't tried a hybrid club, we recommend you come in and talk to us. We can help you determine which hybrid might be right for you and what clubs can potentially be replaced. Sometimes a hybrid can replace two clubs, giving you room elsewhere in your bag for another club, like an extra wedge or wood. Come see us and enjoy the hybrid craze. Here is list of some of the hybrids that we carry. Callaway Heavenwood; Cleveland Halo; Hogan Edge; TaylorMade Dual Rescue; Mizuno Fli-Hi, Nike CPR, Bridgestone J33.
