Custom Fitting

These days custom fitting has become the norm rather than the exception. There is no reason for any player to buy clubs that do not fit properly. We are always happy to do a fitting to determine what specifications are right for you.

When fitting a set of irons, the most important variables are length, lie angle, shaft flex and material, and grip size. Length and lie angle are a factor of a player's static wrist to ground measurement as well as a dynamic measurement using impact tape on the sole of the club. Shaft flex and material are determined by clubhead speed and handicap. A simple chart helps us determine the proper grip size.

When fitting a driver, the launch monitor is of great value to us. Loft and shaft flex, weight, and kick point are the most important variables when fitting a driver. When these variables change, the launch angle and spin rate of the ball changes. Using different combinations of loft and shaft we try to find the optimum launch conditions to help you maximize distance.

Many other stores charge a sizable fee for a club fitting. At DGC we feel that club fitting is a part of our job and we never charge extra for a fitting. Come on in and we will be happy to show you what clubs are right for your game. Your enjoyment will certainly improve when you know you are playing with the right equipment.
